Marketing and Media Relations Associate

Samaritans Purse is seeking a Marketing and Media Relations Associate to join our Operation Christmas Child Department. The position is based in Boone, NC or Charlotte, NC. The Associate will support traditional media and social media teams during the peak‑season promotional cycle and communicate with media outlets about coverage opportunities. Responsibilities Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and consistently witness for Him Provide traditional media pitching and generate media coverage for Operation Christmas Child through digital, print, television, and radio outlets across the nation Secure and coordinate media interviews for speakers, volunteers, and staff, providing scheduling details, key resources, messaging points, and strategy support Develop, monitor, and provide media coverage reports, and assist with end‑of‑year data requests as needed Provide social media monitoring and correspondence across all national social channels (Facebook, Instagram, and X), including engagement with comments, direct messages, and group pages in line with Samaritan's Purse communication guidelines Serve in a processing center at the discretion of OCC leadership during the four to six‑week shoebox processing season in November/December, which may require temporary relocation Spend 1–2% of time in contact with Samaritans Purse beneficiaries (children, young adults, adults at risk) promoting and safeguarding their welfare within the context of Samaritans Purse operations All other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Communications, Marketing, or a related field with 1–3 years of professional experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education Twelve credit hours of college‑level Biblical studies strongly preferred Job Location: Boone, NC or Charlotte, NC Type: Associate (6 months) July 2026 – January 2027 Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required) #J-18808-Ljbffr
