Boat Captain (Seasonal, Live-Out) Division: Private Service / Marine Ref ID: R4390853417 Location: Sag Harbor, NY 11963 Compensation: $40,000 - $45,000 (for the season) Schedule: July – September (Summer Season) Flexible schedule based on family usage; includes weekends and holidays as needed Position Overview A private family is seeking an experienced and professional Boat Captain to operate and maintain a 48-foot vessel moored in Sag Harbor, NY for the summer season (July through September). The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, knowledgeable, and service-oriented, with prior experience operating similar-sized vessels. This role requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for the principals and their guests. Responsibilities • Safely operate and navigate a 48-foot vessel for the principals and guests • Plan routes and itineraries based on weather, tides, and family preferences • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and all required equipment is onboard and functional • Maintain the vessel in excellent condition, including cleanliness and routine upkeep • Coordinate fueling, docking, and general maintenance needs • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the vessel is operating efficiently • Assist guests onboard, providing a high level of service and hospitality • Prepare the vessel in advance of outings and ensure it is fully stocked and ready • Coordinate with marinas, vendors, and service providers as needed Requirements • Valid U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License appropriate for vessel size • Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating similar vessels • Strong knowledge of local waters in the Hamptons / Sag Harbor area preferred • Safety-oriented with excellent judgment and decision-making skills • Professional, discreet, and service-focused demeanor • Flexible schedule with availability for weekends and holidays • Strong references from previous employers • Authorized to work in the United States SSIN456
