
Customer Service Representative

Job Summary This position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing support, guidance, proper follow‑up, and resolution of client inquiries or issues. The role coordinates with sales, shipping, receiving, delivery truck services, and logistics operations.
Job Responsibilities
Assist customers with product questions, ordering, and order tracking.
Issue credits or debits accurately when applicable.
Answer incoming calls.
Categorize, file, and maintain ship ticket copies for audit purposes and file all customer records.
Prepare delivery tickets and related shipping documents.
Understand product availability and logistic issues of specific projects.
Check and review all orders assigned before they are shipped against delivery tickets.
Coordinate deliveries with company truck drivers and external trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of materials to customers.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience in a related function.
At least one year of related experience.
Detail‑oriented with strong basic math skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Good organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with a multi‑line phone system.
Attention to detail and pleasant phone personality.
Ability to multi‑task.
Dispatch experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, and fingers to use a computer and keyboard.
Minor bending and lifting.
Extensive writing and extensive phone and radio use.
Tasks can be very repetitive.
Compensation
Pay is $23–$24 per hour.
Vacation hours of two weeks per year.
