
UTILITIES TRADE SPECIALIST I(ELECTRICAL,WELDING,MACHINIST,CONTROL INSTRUMENT TEC

This is a journey-level skilled maintenance position at the Board. An individual performs one or more skilled construction, maintenance and repair tasks of the Sewerage and Water Board’s plant equipment and plant facilities areas. Work requires a broad knowledge of construction, equipment and maintenance and repair techniques with assignments requiring use of skills in one of the following trades: Electrical, Welding, Machinist, Control Instrument Tech and/or Diesel Mechanics, and related work as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D.*
A valid Driver’s License.*
And either: Three (3) years of electrical, welding, machinist, control instrument technician or diesel mechanic experience; or Two (2) years of the same with permanent status as a Utilities Maintenance Technician III.
* Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education and valid driver’s license claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. If selected for hire, applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.
