Overview This position is responsible for leading a key category business at Walmart, with direct responsibility for managing the analytics team and coordinating overall team presentations and forecasting for the broader Walmart portfolio. This role requires a high degree of collaboration and interdependence across all functions. Key success measures include profitable sales and share growth, strong strategic customer relations, a highly engaged business team, and a long‑term strategic vision for the business.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute short‑ and long‑term planning for Walmart category business
Develop relationships and maintain regular contact with key leaders at Walmart
Develop a 3‑year strategic business plan to deliver growth at or above the category
Identify white‑space opportunities
Lead the analytics team across all businesses and provide direction around data support and insights
Coordinate dashboarding, customer perception initiatives, and shopper behavior analysis across all business units
Lead the relationship with Walmart Merchandising Center (WMC) across all businesses
Manage office operations including rent, janitorial services, and supplies
Lead sales presentations and forecasting for the broader team portfolio
Deliver profitable sales and share growth for the category
Prioritize and allocate investment budgets against key business drivers; optimize ROI
Ensure accuracy in shipment and consumption forecasting
Implement tracking and reporting systems to measure results against KPIs
Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Brand teams to define Walmart‑specific needs and develop appropriate differentiation
Execute in‑store strategies with excellence (merchandising, distribution, display, feature, pricing)
Occasional business travel within the US
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree; MBA preferred
Minimum 10+ years of experience in direct selling; CPG and e‑Commerce experience strongly preferred
Strong strategic and critical thinking skills with proven execution capabilities
Business acumen and confidence to engage at executive levels internally and externally
Financial acumen, budget management, and forecasting proficiency
Strong communication and customer relationship skills
Team building and people development expertise
Cross‑functional collaboration skills
Knowledge of consumer goods categories or related industries
Advanced knowledge of retail data platforms and ability to interpret POS data
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $135,000 – $200,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, demonstrated skills, job‑specific expertise, and geographic location. Some roles may also qualify for performance‑based incentives as part of the overall compensation package.
