Marketing Manager, Alpha - $100,000/year USD

Crossover, Austin, TX, United States

Important Note IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires in-person presence at our Austin, Texas campus.

Traditional schools focus on telling students what to think. This position centers on showing them how to execute. Alpha is creating a distinctive model of high school—one that eliminates lectures and rote memorization. Instead, students build, ship, communicate, and expand their capabilities. They launch projects, validate ideas, and acquire practical skills that elude most adults. Your responsibility is ensuring they follow through and perform at a high level.

You will engage directly with high school students as they establish businesses, manage projects, and cultivate the confidence, communication ability, and competence needed for success after graduation. Theory is not your domain. You are here to coach execution. You will establish rigorous standards, maintain accountability, and challenge students to produce work that meets real-world benchmarks.

This position suits individuals who have accomplished something substantive outside academic settings—built a product, expanded an audience, operated within a startup, or delivered results in a demanding environment—and wish to leverage that background to develop emerging talent. If you seek a conventional teaching position, look elsewhere. If you aim to influence how driven teenagers think, operate, and perform, this is your opportunity.

Develop hands‑on workshops that teach students to cultivate genuine social media audiences

Provide coaching on content strategy, covering ideation through optimization with AI tools

Support students in transforming their personal areas of expertise into viable brands

Direct students through practical projects (entrepreneurship, marketing, software development, etc.) while demanding measurable outcomes

Monitor student advancement across the 3 C's and take action when performance declines

Provide transparent communication to students and parents regarding progress, deficiencies, and action items

What You Won’t Be Doing

Conducting traditional lectures or following prescribed curricula

Evaluating large volumes of homework or emphasizing abstract knowledge

Supporting disengaged students or compromising standards for the sake of ease
