This position is contingent upon contract award.
The SeniorHealthcareInterior Designeris responsible for advancing design intent from early concepts through project completion, applyinga strong foundationin interior design principles. They will support healthcare facility activation efforts related to interior design, Furniture Fixture and Equipment (FF&E) coordination, and space planning, helping translate user and operational requirements into coordinated planning outputs that support room readiness, procurement alignment, installation sequencing, and Day One clinical use. The Senior Interior Designer must be a self-starter, comfortable working within ambiguoussituations, fluent in tools such as SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop,Enscape, and emerging technologies to communicate design ideas clearly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Develop interior design deliverablesthrough all aspects of a job, FF&E planning, and space planning
Coordinate room-level planning and operational requirements
Support design outputs tied to installation, occupancy, and activation readiness
Coordinate with project management and transition planning teams
Produce accurate, organized deliverables for Government review
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with VA design standards
Effectively mentor less experienced design staff
Required Qualifications
8-10years ofprofessional interiordesign experienceorBachelor’s Degree in Interior Designor related field
Experience with space planning and FF&E coordination
NCIDQ or AAHID/CHID certification required
Expertcommunication and documentation skills
Expert oral and written communications skills
Fluent in tools such as SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop,Enscape, and emerging technologies
Enjoy working in a team environment
Must be a US Citizen; sponsorship not supported
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with VA, federal healthcare, or activation projects
Experience supporting facility opening or transition efforts
Leadership experience
