Position Summary
The Marketing & Events Associate is an entry‑level professional position within ULI Atlanta responsible for executing marketing communications under the direction of the Senior Events Manager and assisting with event operations across ULI Atlanta’s programs and initiatives.
This role maintains the communications calendar, drafts and sends outbound email campaigns, supports website and social media updates under the direction of the ULI Atlanta team.
This role will also assist with event logistics across multiple committees and signature programs, and ensure timely, accurate, and consistent communications and seamless event execution.
This is an execution-focused role in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
The Associate serves as a key point of contact for routine communications needs and must demonstrate professionalism, responsiveness, and strong customer service skills at all times.
ULI Atlanta supports a flexible hybrid work model; typically, with 2 days in-office, 1‑2 days in the field supporting events, and at least 1‑2 days working from home. Meetings and programs may occur in early mornings or evenings in addition to standard business hours.
Essential Responsibilities
Communications Calendar Management
Maintain and update ULI Atlanta’s master communications calendar.
Assist with coordinating timing of local and national ULI marketing campaigns to ensure proper sequencing.
Help manage internal deadlines for content review and approval.
Email Marketing
Draft, format, test, and schedule all district council e‑blasts.
Assist with preparing drip campaigns for conferences and major initiatives.
Help maintain audience segmentation and targeted distribution lists through the CRM.
Compile and share performance metrics (open rates, click‑through rates).
Ensure brand consistency across all communications.
Social Media Management
Assist with drafting and scheduling content on LinkedIn and Instagram channels under the direction of senior team leaders.
Repurpose email content into platform‑appropriate posts.
Monitor social media engagement and analytics and flag items for staff review.
Support speaker highlights and sponsor recognition.
Graphic Design and Website Management
Manage website maintenance and updates under staff guidance.
Proficiency in Canva and other relevant graphic design programs.
Design speaker bios and agendas for signature events.
Design monthly newsletters, weekly e‑blasts and event invitations.
Event Management Support
Assist with planning, setup, day‑of logistics, and post‑event closeout.
Support signature program logistics under the direction of the Senior Events Manager.
Support CRM records and reporting.
Volunteer & Member Engagement Support
Communicate with volunteer leaders regarding scheduling and materials, and assist with meeting preparation materials (PPTs, agendas, speaker bios).
Help ensure alignment of program communications with ULI’s mission and strategic priorities.
Provide professional and courteous customer service to members and stakeholders.
Other Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with ULI headquarters on marketing and data processes.
Support special projects and organizational initiatives at the direction of the Executive Director, including quarterly advisory board meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Two to three years of experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit program coordination, membership organizations, or event operations.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Basic experience with or willingness to learn email marketing platforms (e.g., Magnet Mail).
Familiarity with social media scheduling tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience with Canva highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
Ability to attend early morning and evening events as required.
Ability to travel locally and statewide for events; use of a personal vehicle may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS degree preferred.
CRM/database experience preferred.

The salary range for this position is $47,272 to $51,409. Actual compensation will be based on experience, education, skills, and other job‑related factors.
