Oracle HCM Cloud Configuration Engineer / Oracle HCM Functional Consultant Location:
San Francisco, CA (Remote, Travel needed once a month) Job Type:
W2 Local to San Francisco Bay Area preferred. Candidate needs to go on-site at least once a month at 490 Illinois Street, SF, CA 94158. Key Skills Required
Strong hands-on Oracle HCM Cloud configuration (Core HR, Absence, Recruiting, Compensation, Security) Experience with HDL (HCM Data Loader) for data loads, fixes, and updates OTBI reporting (operational/ad-hoc reports) Workflow configuration (approvals, business processes) Security setup (roles, data access, user roles) Strong understanding of HR processes (hire-to-retire lifecycle, payroll dependencies) Ability to analyze cross-module impacts and data flow Responsibilities
Configure and maintain Oracle HCM Cloud modules (Core HR, Absence, Recruiting, Compensation, Security) Build and manage:
Job & position structures Work relationships & legal entities Eligibility rules Workflows and approvals Security roles
Troubleshoot configuration issues and support HR/Payroll users Support post-go-live stabilization and system optimization Review Oracle quarterly releases and assess system impact Work with business stakeholders to align processes with Oracle Cloud best practices (avoid customizations) Support data validation and integration awareness (HCM Extracts, reporting tools) Nice to Have
PeopleSoft background (migration or coexistence) Experience in large enterprise environments Exposure to healthcare, higher education, or regulated industries Experience working with legacy systems alongside Oracle HCM
