Overview

Yugo is a trusted global name in student housing, connecting young people to opportunities and providing high‑quality living spaces. The Leasing Manager supports the Property Manager by leading leasing efforts, training staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train, and supervise leasing staff and oversee all leasing activities. Manage the lease renewal process, maintain high resident retention rates, and process new lease agreements. Prepare move‑in paperwork, conduct move‑in orientation, and walk units during move‑in and move‑out. Show the community to prospective residents, answer phone inquiries, and maintain a positive customer experience. Review, approve, and file resident applications according to property manager direction. Inspect facilities, report maintenance needs, and inspect move‑outs and vacancies. Maintain daily records on lease renewals, terminations, and move‑in/out activities. Proofread lease documents and process move‑ins and move‑outs accurately. Accept service requests, route to maintenance, and follow up with residents. Coordinate marketing and sales programs, maintain market information, and participate in leasing activity calls. Enforce all policies and procedures, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and maintain property records. Lead regular community team meetings, communicate goals, and support team development. Maintain a clean, organized office and apartment modeling units. Ensure compliance with fair housing, state, federal, and local laws related to employment. Use tools and systems to gather and interpret market trends. Manage turn activities, budgeting, vendor relationships, cost containment, and staffing. Work flexibly including evenings, overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. Support continuous process improvement and business goals. Provide customer service, resolve complaints, and seek feedback to enhance satisfaction. Identify and solve operational problems, develop alternatives, and use data for solutions. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate professionalism. Show initiative, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing demands.

Supervisory Responsibility

The Leasing Manager assists the Property Manager in supervising and training the leasing staff.

Education and Experience

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred; equivalent experience in residential properties may substitute a degree. Minimum one year of experience in residential properties, rental operations, or related business operations.

Computer Skills

Proficiency with property management software (e.g., RealPage) and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Physical Demands

Regularly requires seeing, hearing, speaking, handling, and moving up to 10 pounds. Requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Noise level moderate; employee may be recorded for training.

Expected Hours of Work

Offices open Monday‑Saturday (often Sunday); flexibility for outside hours, weekends, and holidays.

Travel

Minimal; primarily local during business hours.
