Supervisory Financial Management Specialist

This position is located in the Office of Budget and Financial Management (OBFM), Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Department of Justice. The incumbent directs a staff that performs a wide variety of analytical, reporting, and administrative functions connected with financial management, audit, policies, accounting transactions, and presentations.
Qualifications To qualify for the position of Supervisory Financial Management Specialist, GS‑0501‑14, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below.
Time-in-Grade Requirements Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS‑13 level is required for GS‑14; VEOA applicants must also meet these requirements.
GS‑14 Level – Specialized Experience
Providing direction, leadership, and supervision in developing, implementing, and updating policies, standards, and guidance pertaining to budget and financial management programs and services for an organization.
Planning workflow and work assignments for staff by setting and adjusting short‑term work priorities.
Developing performance standards and evaluating staff work performance.
Managing the planning, evaluation, and reviewing of an organization's financial management systems.
Applicants must have at least one full‑time year (12 months) of specialized work experience equivalent to at least the GS‑13 grade level in Federal service, performing the duties listed above.
