
IT Business Analyst, Salesforce

The IT Business Analyst, Salesforce is responsible for evaluating, designing, and improving technological systems to increase efficiency. Key responsibilities include gathering and analyzing business and user requirements, documenting system specifications, designing solutions, supporting testing, and providing end‑user support and training. The Analyst acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure new or enhanced systems align with business objectives and solve complex problems. This role will be based at the company's headquarters in Waltham, MA, transitioning to a new headquarters location in Newton, MA in Summer 2026.
Your Role, Your Impact
Work with stakeholders to elicit requirements, understand business processes and user needs, and identify opportunities where technology can improve near‑term efficiency and effectiveness. Create detailed workflow diagrams, data models, and maintain system, process and "how to" documents. Act as the primary point of contact between business users and IT teams, translating business needs into clear, testable technical requirements. Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment with documented business requirements. Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate and document proposed solution options, including software development, system enhancements, or process changes. Support test plans and validation to ensure systems function as intended. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues with assigned applications, escalating broader or systemic issues as appropriate. Deliver training to end‑users and provide ongoing application support and guidance. Facilitate clear and effective communication between stakeholders and technical teams throughout the development process. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in business processes and systems, applying industry best practices and methodologies to enhance business analysis practices. Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both business and technical teams. Microsoft Office Suite and various business systems. Experience in creating detailed reports and presentations. Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills. Forward‑looking solution‑seeking mindset. Pay Range: $81,000.00 – $121,400.00 Benefits
