About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Federal and State Grants and Sponsored Programs to lead its strategic efforts in securing new and emerging grant opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive grants pipeline, monitoring federal and state sources for funding opportunities, and leading the development of grant proposals. This role requires a proactive approach to early detection of competitive funding and the ability to mobilize quickly. The Executive Director will also be involved in developing legislative and congressional spending requests and will be the central authority for grant intelligence and proposal leadership.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years' of experience in grant development, particularly with federal and state proposals. The role demands a high level of writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple complex deadlines and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in grant writing, including budget and compliance elements, and be adept at using technology tools to support research and proposal development.
