Director, Ticket Sales & Operations

The University of South Dakota Director of Ticket Sales and Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Coyote Ticket Office, including renewing season tickets for football, men’s & women’s basketball, and volleyball, acquiring new season ticket holders, and developing group sales opportunities.

Additional duties include hiring and training game day support staff, scheduling Ticket Office personnel, overseeing ticket operations for all home athletic events, managing a budget, and preparing and reconciling ticket office reports. The successful candidate must demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and be available to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Day‑to‑day ticket office operations
  • Renew season tickets for multiple sports
  • Acquire new season ticket holders
  • Develop group sales opportunities
  • Hire, train, and schedule game day support staff
  • Oversee ticket operations for all home athletic events
  • Manage ticketing budget and expenses
  • Prepare and reconcile ticket office reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of three years’ ticket office or related experience with intercollegiate athletics
  • Knowledge of Paciolan ticketing software preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations as they relate to the ticket office preferred
