Partner with a district team to lead day‑to‑day operations of a senior living community. Oversee associate relations, resident engagement, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and community culture. Work with sales to drive occupancy and revenue. Manage staffing, budgeting, and quality care services.

Base pay depends on skills and experience. Full‑time associates are eligible for an annual bonus and sales referral bonuses. Temporary associates may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Veterans, active duty military personnel, and military spouses are encouraged to apply. Brookdale may advance fees for naturalization up to $725 for qualified associates.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all community operations, including staff, residents, prospects, and family members.
  • Develop and implement the community business plan, annual operating and capital budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the management team; empower department leaders to supervise, direct, and motivate staff.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain high‑quality associates. Review promotion and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain resident satisfaction and retention; address resident problems, conduct satisfaction surveys, and implement improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with the clinical leader to ensure appropriate care and services; ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate financial acumen: analyze, develop, and execute budgets; meet revenue, profitability, and occupancy goals.
  • Drive sales and marketing efforts, identify trends, and collaborate with the sales leader to maximize RevPAR.
  • Build relationships with local influencers and professionals; represent the community to agencies and groups.
  • Oversee building, grounds, and property maintenance through preventative systems and inspections.
  • Enforce company policies and maintain required licenses and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum of three years related operational leadership experience. Additional years may substitute for education on a year‑for‑year basis.
  • Certifications, Licenses, and Other Requirements: Valid administrator license in required states; valid driver’s license and private vehicle for business use.
  • Management/Decision Making: Uses strong analytic skills, demonstrates leadership, manages department leaders, and evaluates resident care, marketing, food service, housekeeping, and maintenance units.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Advanced knowledge of the organization, industry, and functional disciplines.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft software.
    • Excellent written and oral communication.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Ability to delegate based on skills and interests.
    • Strong judgment and problem‑solving skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Standing, walking, sitting; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
  • Talk and hear; lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision required; interact with co‑workers, residents, vendors.
  • Occasional weekend, evening, or night work; on‑call as needed.
  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases, blood‑borne pathogens, chemicals, and other hazards.
  • Travel occasionally; drives self (Tier 2).
