Sr Director Business Development - Aftermarket

Overview

The Senior Director Business Development, Aftermarket is accountable for the overall performance and growth of Sundyne’s global aftermarket business, operating with a general manager mindset. This role leads strategy and execution across parts, service, repairs, upgrades, and lifecycle solutions, with a primary focus on accelerating profitable growth from Sundyne’s global installed base. The role partners closely with commercial, operations, engineering, and supply chain leaders to deliver disciplined execution, improved customer outcomes, and sustained financial performance aligned with Sundyne and Honeywell operating principles and growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Own global aftermarket P&L, including revenue, margin, operating income, working capital, and cash flow.
  • Develop and execute the aftermarket strategy and annual operating plan, aligned with Sundyne business objectives.
  • Drive installed‑base growth through segmentation, opportunity identification, increased aftermarket capture rate, service, upgrades, and lifecycle offerings.
  • Lead aftermarket commercial strategy, including go‑to‑market approach, pricing, channel alignment, and integration with regional sales teams.
  • Lead detailed collection and analytics of Aftermarket forecast, actuals, capture, market drivers to support growth.
  • Establish operating cadence, KPIs, and governance to ensure execution rigor and accountability.
  • Ensure strong operational performance, including parts availability, lead times, service delivery, quality, and customer experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement, productivity, and margin expansion initiatives.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing global aftermarket leadership team.
  • Partner with the VPGM and leadership team on strategy, transformation, and integration initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in pumps, compressors, rotating equipment, or highly engineered industrial products
  • Proven track record of aftermarket growth from a large installed base
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership and experience driving profitable growth

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another technical field
  • Experience in leading global manufacturing and cross-functional teams to support highly engineering products of varying complexity and specifications
  • Strong commercial, operational, and financial acumen
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Background in transformation, Lean, or operational excellence

Pay Range

The annual base salary range for this position is $257,000,000 - $278,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
