We are seeking an exceptional Director of Sales to join the leadership team at a premier luxury resort in the Bahamas. This is an on-island, on-property position suited for a dynamic and confident sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building momentum, driving performance, and delivering results with creativity and energy.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in leading and executing commercial strategies across Group Sales, Catering, and Conference Services , ensuring alignment with the resort’s overall revenue goals and brand positioning. This is a true “builder” role—ideal for a hands‑on leader who can inspire teams, develop strong client relationships, and elevate the resort’s market presence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience in a Director of Sales (or similar senior commercial role) within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Mandatory experience in the Caribbean luxury hospitality market.
  • Strong background in group sales, catering, and conference services.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate high‑performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, entrepreneurial approach.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • High level of professionalism, presence, and emotional intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales, catering, and conference services teams to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on group, leisure, and event business segments.
  • Drive new business development while strengthening existing client and partner relationships.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, revenue management, and operations to optimize commercial performance.
  • Identify market trends, competitive insights, and emerging opportunities to enhance positioning and profitability.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.
  • Represent the resort at key industry events, trade shows, and client engagements.

Compensation

This position offers an annual salary of US$155,000, plus housing allowance, car allowance, generous bonus, relocation, and numerous company executive benefits.
