Harmer Associates has been exclusively engaged by a long-standing family office client in downtown Chicago to identify a Senior Tax Associate for a newly created position on their growing team. This group manages complex partnership structures, private investments, and multi-entity filings with both U.S. and international exposure. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex partnership tax returns and supporting workpapers
- Coordinate tax compliance and filings for U.S. and foreign entities
- Conduct technical research and communicate findings to management
- Assist with tax planning related to investment activities and structuring
- Support process improvements to enhance compliance efficiency
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of tax experience, ideally with exposure to partnership or investment entities
- CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of federal tax principles; international tax exposure a plus
- Candidates must be based in the Chicago area ; this is not a remote opportunity.
