CULINAIRE, a Compass Group USA company, is a national food and beverage management company based in Dallas, and is seeking a self-motivated and service-oriented catering professional with a creative flair who enjoys an entrepreneurial work environment as its DIRECTOR OF CATERING. The hotel has over 16,000 square feet of banquet space, as well as many private dining areas in ML Steaks + Sports restaurant.

Miami Lakes Hotel is a destination designed for the business and leisure traveler. The hotel is nestled in the tree-lined canopies and tropical landscapes of the quaint town of Miami Lakes. Many popular sites and attractions are near the hotel, such as South Beach, Hard Rock Stadium and Fort Lauderdale. The hotel is a short distance from the airport in Fort Lauderdale, and 30 minutes from Miami International Airport.

A few important responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for facility rentals on behalf of the hotel.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with our client and building staff.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the property’s P&L statement
  • Achieve or exceed monthly booking goals.
  • Produce monthly revenue forecast.
  • Develop and administer the catering sales marketing plan.
  • Submit monthly reports.
  • Proficient at converting inquiries into sales.
  • Ensure and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

What we're looking for:

  • A passion for sales and catering
  • Five years prior experience with proven record of accomplishment in a similar facility.
  • Willing to work flexible hours (i.e. weekends, evenings).
  • Must be extremely organized.
  • Possess excellent supervisory skills
  • Computer proficient
