Overview
Instructional Designer - Epic — Pay rate 75-80/hr W2
Designs, develops, and delivers Epic end-user training programs that align with clinical and revenue cycle workflows. Works with operational stakeholders, application teams, and subject matter experts to create role-specific learning experiences that support user adoption and system competency.
Responsibilities
- Develop classroom, virtual, and e-learning content for new Epic applications, upgrades, and optimizations.
- Configure and maintain the Master Training Environment (MST) to support realistic workflows and training scenarios.
- Deliver Epic training sessions to end-users, incorporating adult learning principles and hands-on practice.
- Partner with application analysts to test new builds and incorporate changes into curriculum and training materials.
- Maintain job aids, quick reference guides, and training documentation in a shared repository.
- Provide go-live support, reinforcing workflows and assisting users in applying training in live environments.
- Gather feedback and evaluate training effectiveness; update materials based on results.
- Collaborate with Help Desk and application teams to resolve training-related access and environment issues.
- Ensure assigned staff complete required Epic training and competency validation prior to gaining system access.
Qualifications
- Experience in Epic training, instructional design, or adult education.
- Knowledge of clinical and/or revenue cycle workflows in Epic.
- Skilled in training delivery methods for diverse audiences.
- Experience configuring and managing Epic training environments.
- Bachelor's degree in education, healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
