Director of Behavioral Health

A mission-driven behavioral health organization is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health to lead mental health and substance use programs. This role provides clinical and operational oversight, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee behavioral health programs and clinic operations.
• Supervise clinical and administrative staff.
• Oversee Medicaid billing, documentation, and compliance.
• Ensure grant, contract, and program deliverables are met.
• Provide clinical support, including intake coverage and crisis response.
• Build partnerships with community and healthcare providers.
• Analyze program data and prepare required reports.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field.
• Active clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, LCPC).
• 5+ years of behavioral health experience, including 2+ years in leadership.
• Experience with Medicaid billing and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
