Description
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Commercial Estimator to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Draft estimates for commercial construction projects for its entire lifecycle.
- Estimation of pricing for equipment and labor.
- Estimate project scope and requirements through analyzation of project related documents.
- Ensure smooth quantity takeoffs.
- Processing of project bids.
- Work in conjunction with project leadership throughout pre-production.
- Work to reduce costs as possible.
- Oversee professional development junior estimators.
- Ensure the estimation team understands best project practices.
- Oversee and enter data into pricing databases.
- Attend and participate in project meetings.
- Remain updated on market conditions and prices of materials.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in commercial construction estimating.
- Proven experience estimating projects valued at a minimum of $5M.
- Strongly preferred that a candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
- Advanced experience with building systems and commercial construction methods.
- Advanced experience with estimation tools.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
