Sales Assistant - BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy
Location:
This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls from the prescriber phone queue with courtesy and efficiency, assisting callers when able and routing/escalating calls to the appropriate teams as needed.
Perform real-time research during calls to provide accurate information related to patient access topics (e.g., benefits verification, prior authorization status, and other routine inquiry types supported by internal tools/processes).
Review prescriber voicemails and accurately route messages to the appropriate inside sales representative and/or department based on the nature of the request.
Document call details and outcomes and ensure appropriate follow-up is initiated according to established procedures.
Occasionally support special projects as assigned, which may include basic data entry and administrative support.
Research and resolve routine sales, claims and benefit issues.
Gather, input, and track sales data.
Generate sales reports.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or a GED equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences
Specialty Pharmacy experience.
Call center experience.
Experience in handling phone queues, message triage, and routing to sales or operational teams.
Ability to research and resolve routine benefits and prior authorization status inquiries using multiple systems/tools.
For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary range for this position is $19.10 to $39.38.
