Job Description Summary
Responsible for building and activating a social media presence that authentically represents the agent, the entrepreneurial culture, and the motivational spirit that is World Financial Group. This role focuses on amplifying the agent experience through tailored storytelling – celebrating achievements, fostering community, and energizing the entrepreneurial spirit that fuels the business.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a business‑specific social media strategy centered on agents as the “product”, celebrating culture, success stories, and milestones.
Deliver strong, creative campaigns, understanding and aligning to social trends and industry insights.
Build unique agent‑centered content to be used across agent‑client platforms.
Create compelling cross‑platform content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) aligned with agent lifecycle needs – from recruitment through leadership.
Partner with World Financial Group Marketing, Field Enablement, Transamerica Corporate Affairs and other teams to ensure messaging consistency and align with corporate branding.
Develop and oversee influencer and ambassador programs, cultivating authentic agent voices and champions.
Monitor, moderate, and partner with community management to respond to social engagement, fostering community and mitigating reputation risks.
Track and report performance metrics (engagement, reach, sentiment, recruitment, pipeline contribution) to guide optimization.
Collaborate with creative services to build reusable, branded templates and toolkits for agent use.
Partner with multicultural marketing leads to ensure content reflects World Financial Group’s and Transamerica Financial Advisors’ diversity and inclusivity.
Support field leaders with content strategies that amplify recognition events, campaigns, and local initiatives.
Coordinate with PR and content teams on integrated push/pull content that drives trust and transparency in World Financial Group and Transamerica Financial Advisors.
Provide training and support to agents on compliant social media use and personal brand building.
Work collaboratively with governance and compliance teams to build content for multiple brands in accordance with company standards.
Keep current on new technologies, platform updates, and emerging trends/opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Eight years of digital communications, social media marketing or related experience.
Experience managing campaigns or marketing projects.
Proficient in core content production systems and requirements.
Proficient in Business Manager on Meta.
Experience with third‑party scheduling, monitoring and social listening platforms such as Hootsuite, SproutSocial, Sprinklr or similar.
Understanding of advertising on Instagram, building LinkedIn Newsletters, and additional CTA opportunities built natively into social platforms.
Experience working with programs like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, CapCut, InShot or similar.
Experience with geo‑targeted messaging and using UTMs to track performance.
Excellent written/oral communication and relationship building skills.
Ability to think creatively, self‑start, plan ahead, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Highly organized with an editorial mindset and ability to build end‑to‑end plans that incorporate a big‑picture mindset.
Proficiency using MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the financial services/insurance industry.
Supervisory/management experience.
Working Conditions
Office.
Travel: moderate (10–25%).
Salary
The salary for this position generally ranges between $105,000 – $120,000 annually. This figure is a good faith estimate; actual starting pay is determined by qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in‑office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law. This position is typically eligible for an annual bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
