Human Resources Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a passion for HR, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks ranging from recruitment to benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Recruitment & Staffing: Manage full‑cycle recruiting, including posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews, performing background checks, and updating job requirements.

Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate new hire orientation, prepare onboarding materials, and conduct exit interviews to gather feedback.

Benefits & Compensation: Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, 401(k), etc.), process changes, and assist with payroll inquiries.

Employee Records & HRIS: Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date, and confidential personnel records and employee data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Employee Relations & Compliance: Address employee inquiries, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., FMLA, EEO, wage & hour).

Performance Management: Assist with the coordination of performance reviews and support managers with employee development initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, or in a similar HR role.

Strong understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and office administration.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS software.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees.
