As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Salesforce, you will execute high‑quality testing strategies across Salesforce platforms and validate complex solutions with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
Lead test planning and execution efforts for Salesforce applications, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and associated integrations.
Analyze business requirements, technical design documents, and user stories to develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases.
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to support regression and end‑to‑end testing using tools such as Provar, Selenium, or UFT.
Ensure adherence to QA best practices, standards, and methodologies, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage defect lifecycle processes, including logging, tracking, triaging, and resolution validation using tools such as Jira, TestRail, ALM, or similar platforms.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project managers to ensure alignment on requirements and quality expectations.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of test execution, results, and defect reporting to provide transparency to stakeholders.
Track and report on QA metrics, including test execution progress, defect density, and pass/fail rates, providing actionable insights.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks and CI/CD‑integrated testing practices.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex testing issues across multiple systems, integrations, and environments.
Develop end‑to‑end test scenarios spanning multiple workstreams, applications, and service domains.
Anticipate cross‑functional testing risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members, supporting skill development and knowledge sharing.
Participate in peer reviews of test artifacts to ensure completeness, consistency, and adherence to standards.
Contribute to the evolution of QA processes, tools, and frameworks, including input into overall quality architecture.
Stay current with emerging technologies, Salesforce platform enhancements, and industry best practices in quality engineering.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
7–10+ years of experience in software quality assurance across all phases of the SDLC.
Strong hands‑on experience testing Salesforce platforms and ecosystems.
Proven expertise in test automation, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
Experience working within SaaS and cloud‑based application environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Demonstrated experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including standard vs. custom functionality.
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for backend data validation.
Experience testing complex, multi‑system integrations and distributed architectures.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum and/or Kanban).
Self‑motivated with a continuous learning mindset and ability to adapt in fast‑paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Platform App Builder).
Hands‑on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Provar.
Experience testing Salesforce integrations with external systems and APIs.
Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
Experience with web services testing (REST/SOAP APIs).
Exposure to additional testing frameworks and modern QA toolsets.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is a primarily sedentary office position requiring the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. Up to 25% travel is required.
