At Maine State CU, you’ll be a critical partner to our Mortgage Lending Team owning the details, managing the loan pipeline, and ensuring our members experience a seamless, professional lending process.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing multiple priorities, collaborating with lenders and vendors, and confidently navigating compliance requirements in a dynamic environment.
What Your Day Will Look Like As a Mortgage Loan Processor, your daily work will be hands‑on, detail‑driven, and essential to successful loan closings:
Manage the loan pipeline
from application through closing keeping files accurate, complete, and on track.
Prepare loan documentation
for new and modified real estate and consumer loans using the credit union’s Loan Origination System (LOS).
Order and coordinate third‑party services
such as title work, appraisals, and legal documents—following up to keep timelines moving.
Review loan files
for compliance and accuracy, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations including QM, ATR, and TRID.
Complete post‑closing tasks
including recording security documents, ensuring final title policies are issued, and supporting audit requests.
Maintain strict confidentiality
while upholding the credit union’s member‑first service standards.

Qualifications What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of mortgage or loan processing experience
Strong working knowledge of loan documentation, policies, and compliance requirements
Experience using Encompass LOS or similar systems (preferred)
Comfortable managing multiple files and deadlines simultaneously
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
