QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership. The district recognizes that selecting an assistant superintendent is one of the most important decisions it will make. The district developed the following desired characteristics.
Superintendent certification required.
Administrative experience required.
The Choctaw/Nicoma Park School District is seeking an Assistant Superintendent of Personnel:
Who is a visionary leader capable of creating an environment of high expectations with accountability for students and staff. One that is creative, unique, and provides innovative options for learning to expand opportunities in career choices, technology, and better educational outcomes for students
Who has proven performance to be an effective leader, conservative fiscal sense, understands budgeting and allocation, strong understanding of Oklahoma School Law, open minded, and concise in decision making
Who is a person of integrity and high moral character, approachable, friendly, welcoming to students, staff, and the community, highly visible, follows the chain of command, and is aggressive in marketing the district in the region
Who is a student-centered instructional leader, understands and values teaching/learning, a consensus builder capable of creating an environment which promotes success for all students, staff, and the community
Who has the ability to capitalize on the qualities of excellence of the district and possesses the leadership skills needed to move the district forward through creating partnerships and accountability
