
Human Resources Director

This critical role will join a team of passionate individuals on a mission to change the course of autism for families in Western North Carolina. We are looking for a creative Director of Human Resources to help grow St. Gerard Center for Autism’s innovative model and develop dynamic employees and volunteers.

St. Gerard Center for Autism (SGCA) is an independent, non-profit organization in Hendersonville, NC dedicated to changing the outcomes for individuals with Autism. The Board of Directors and Leadership team push staff every day to grow, innovate and bring joy to our children, young adults and their families. Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or at least five years of human resource experience. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR credential preferred. Ability to use various computer systems and applications; ability to plan & organize; ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and problem‑solving techniques in the decision‑making process; ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all employees, volunteers, clients, and the public; ability to communicate clearly. We are looking for someone who:
Demonstrates effective supervisory & management skills. Is skilled or experienced in team building, team participation, collaborative decision‑making, and achieving organizational success. Has a proven ability to lead a team of clinicians and non‑clinicians through a period of rapid organizational growth. Is a self‑motivated leader with the ability to operate independently to drive results in a fast‑paced environment. Possesses the ability and desire to excel in both development of long‑term strategic vision, and daily operational execution. Is a data‑based decision‑maker, driving recommendations through methodical analysis rather than gut/feel. Demonstrates sound judgment and comfort in leading strategic decision‑making as well as financial and human capital allocation for an organization. Has an unwavering dedication to learning, professional growth, and development as a priority throughout career. Possesses knowledge of regulatory, safety, risk management, accreditation, and compliance standards and activities required to maintain compliance, i.e., HIPAA, CARF, BACB, OIG, OSHA, CMS, etc. Has the ability to prioritize, organize, work independently and meet deadlines. Possesses strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization. What’s in it for me?
