Construction Superintendent

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will serve as the primary field leader, coordinating subcontractors, trades, and site operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations on construction projects
Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
Maintain and drive project schedules to meet deadlines
Coordinate site logistics, especially in tight or occupied environments
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and documents
Conduct site meetings, inspections, and quality control checks
Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve field issues
Manage inspections, deliveries, and local regulatory compliance
Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in construction
Proven experience as a Superintendent on ground-up and/or interior projects
Strong knowledge of NYC/Long Island construction practices and codes
Ability to manage multiple trades and aggressive schedules
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents
Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project)
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Valid driver’s license
