Primary PartnerCare is a physician-driven organization dedicated to enhancing the private practice of medicine. Founded in 2012, we empower independent physicians with the tools and resources necessary to thrive in a changing healthcare landscape. We provide HR services for our own company and two other physician-related companies (150-175 employees total). The focus of the job is employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance. The role oversees the Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist.

Base Salary: $90,000-$132,000 + annual Performance Bonus

Summary

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Great Neck. In this pivotal role, you will support corporate HR functions and ensure doctors have more time to focus on patient care instead of administrative work. Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. The right candidate is entrepreneurial, wants to build, is comfortable taking the lead and is highly organized to ensure compliance with HR laws, regulations, and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and ensuring HR policies are updated and circulated and understood by the employees
  • Develop and implement employee relations programs to foster a positive work environment that embraces our mission and the performance-based compensation that has taken over the healthcare industry
  • Support performance management processes, including evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
  • Primary on all counseling, disciplinary action and terminations
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and ensure data integrity and documentation for everything that touches HR
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote employee development
  • Serve as lead change agent on culture, post merger & acquisition for medical practices that join our managed medical group

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required; Masters & SHRM certification preferred
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist/HRBP, working as part of the management team to build a strong and loyal workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including experience working with legal counsel as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High expectations for the workforce coupled with the ability to advocate when needed
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, and pivot as needed.
  • Experience with employee training and development programs is preferred.
