Summary:
Coordinate and facilitate the band program in grades 6-8. This includes: articulation with the High School Band Director and middle schools; developing a marching and concert band; communicating between disciplines, responsible for instruments and equipment belonging to the district; repair of said instruments; coordinating performance schedules; and scheduling music transportation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Keeps informed of the latest developments in the field of music, conveys relevant information to students, parents, teachers and administrators.
Works with other district music educators in the planning and execution of school concerts and performances.
Confers with music equipment companies on the condition of music equipment and sheet music and provides for the necessary repairs and maintenance.
Provides support for the high school band program.
Reports to the Principal
Certification
Applicants must have valid South Carolina teaching certification in Music Education – Instrumental.
