Director of CTE Pathways & Operational Excellence
Metropolitan Education District seeks an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as Director of CTE Pathways & Operational Excellence at Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE). This position is one of two co-equal Directors who jointly lead a high-performing CTE center serving Silicon Valley students.
The Director provides strategic instructional leadership across assigned pathway clusters while ensuring strong, efficient campus operations. Responsibilities include oversight of safety systems, regulatory compliance, transportation, and emergency preparedness, with a focus on maintaining an environment where students and staff can thrive.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead and support high-quality CTE pathways aligned to the ACTE 12 Elements of High-Quality CTE
Foster a collaborative, student-centered, and career-focused school culture
Supervise and develop certificated and classified staff
Build strong partnerships with industry, community, and higher education
Oversee systems for campus safety, operations, transportation, and compliance
Lead continuous improvement through data, program evaluation, and student outcomes
Work Year: 220 Days Location: San Jose, CA
Valid California Administrative Services Credential
California Teaching Credential
Minimum 3 years of administrative/management experience
3 years of secondary teaching experience (CTE preferred
