Overview
Investment Planners support CJ's Client Investment team, developing strategic affiliate plans aligned with client KPIs, budgets, and goals. They leverage data insights, optimize partnerships, and ensure the effectiveness of affiliate programs to drive measurable results.
Responsibilities
Create comprehensive investment plans aligned with client KPIs, budgets, and goals. Collaborate with client strategy teams to address the eCommerce/Affiliate landscape, identify growth opportunities, and develop tailored investment plans.
Assess the financial impact of potential opportunities and provide strategic recommendations. Develop a deep understanding of how Affiliate strategies can drive client business growth and identify opportunities for scale.
Stay updated on emerging partnerships and trends in the eCommerce/Affiliate space to create diversified, forward‑thinking investment strategies by vertical, publisher, and media type.
Manage and track day‑to‑day client requests, providing accurate and timely feedback.
Aggregate and analyze data from internal Strategy, Business Analytics, and Operations teams to inform overarching strategies and investment decisions.
Incorporate key factors such as budget, past performance, audience reach, opportunity size, and impact to build publisher portfolio recommendations.
Assist with annual planning, applying client growth goals across multiple brands and categories.
Act as a Commerce specialist within the greater strategy team, integrating efforts with media and analytics to drive commerce growth.
Qualifications
Analytical mindset with the ability to pull insights from multiple, large data sets.
Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience and minimum of 2 years’ experience in the online marketing industry—ideally digital performance marketing.
Project management experience and ability to multitask.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, and the ability to transmit information, ideas, and solutions across different levels of stakeholders.
Strong understanding of market consumer trends and marketplace readiness.
Ability to identify, pitch, and close new opportunities with affiliates or partners to drive incremental revenue.
Excellent organizational skills (experience with ticketing systems and project management software a plus).
Respectful of varying opinions and perspectives.
