We are seeking motivated & experienced pros in the
Structural Steel Fabrication, Detailing & Erection Industry
to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidates for these positions have a great attitude, an excellent work ethic and a desire to work with an industry leader who treats its employees with respect and promotes from within.
There are multiple roles available in addition to the Project Manager role described below. In addition to
Assistant to Sr. level Project Managers
in both
Fabrication & Erection.
The project manager roles will need 5+ years in structural
steel fabrication / erection
of steel structures, overseeing the progress of each assigned project in a timely and cost-effective manner.
As a Structural Steel Project Manager, you ensure that the project scope aligns with the budget and that staff complete each project phase within the scheduled timeline.
Responsibilities
Review and assess vendor proposals. Manage multiple parallel projects using formal project planning techniques. Set up and manage project schedules, objectives, and deliverables. Establish fabrication schedules and oversee production timelines. Coordinate subcontractors and vendors. Communicate progress toward production, financial, quality, and safety goals to internal and external stakeholders. Negotiate and manage change orders. Establish and maintain customer relationships. Oversee process improvements in projects with limited precedents that may have enterprise-wide impact. Monitor and manage vendor relationships. Prepare, present, and distribute project and program information to both internal and external groups. Identify resource and equipment requirements, oversee capacity planning, and manage software/hardware availability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work / education combo. 5+ years of commercial / industrial construction industry experience, with a minimum education & exposure of , 5+
years (PM) , 7 -10+ years' (Sr. Project Manager)
in managing Structural Steel Fabricator / Erector projects. Experience with
commercial fabrication and/or detailing
experience is a plus for construction PM's. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with MS Office.
Skills
Familiarity with the
AISC
Manual of Steel Construction for developing conforming shop and erection drawings. Knowledge of construction codes and practices. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification big plus. Experience with FabSuite and Tekla preferred. Proficiency with Tekla Structures, Tekla EPM, and Trimble Connect software. Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
