Cash Application Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Cash Application Specialist for a fully onsite role in Schaumburg, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on cash application experience or a recent accounting graduate with strong critical thinking skills who is looking to grow their accounting career. Pay: $2025 per hour, based on experience Responsibilities:
Apply and post daily customer payments accurately and timely Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and discrepancies Reconcile customer accounts and assist with AR aging Communicate with internal teams and customers to resolve payment issues Maintain accurate records and documentation to support month-end close Assist with other accounting or accounts receivable tasks as needed Qualifications:
Prior cash application, accounts receivable, or accounting experience OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Excel; accounting or ERP system experience a plus This role offers hands-on exposure to core accounting functions with opportunity for growth.
