
RN Director - OR

The Administrative Director Nursing is responsible for large daily nursing operations, oversees nursing directors as direct reports, and supports the chief nursing officer in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services to ensure delivery of adequate and competent patient care. This position will require to have FTE's/Departments reporting to it.
Responsibilities
Assists Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) with developing, maintaining, and evaluating organizational planning systems compatible with the ANA Code of Ethics, and Nursing standards to facilitate the delivery of patient care services, assumes role of administrator on call, functions as patient ombudsman; acts on CNO's behalf during absence; oversees direct reports and staffing office functions. Interfaces on a regular basis with medical staff to communicate, receive information and promote satisfactory patient outcomes. Redesigns work flow and work processes to achieve customer satisfaction, quality improvement and cost reduction. Identifies high-risk situations and utilizes root cause analyses tools to achieve the elimination or reduction of risk. Participates in LDI Participates in Performance Improvement activities Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Experience: 5 years experience in discipline or specialty. Licensure/Certification:
Possession of current TN State License for Registered Nurse BLS – Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
Preferred:
Education: Masters Degree in Nursing, Business or Related Field Experience: 3-5 years progressively responsible management experience Licensure/Certification: Specialty or Administration certification desired.
