If you take pride in maintaining beautiful, healthy landscapes and golf course conditions while leading a team and ensuring irrigation systems operate efficiently, we invite you to join our Grounds team as an Assistant Superintendent.
In this role, you will assist in overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of the resort’s irrigation systems to ensure optimal landscape and golf course turf health and water efficiency. Responsibilities include supervising team members, scheduling preventative maintenance, troubleshooting irrigation system issues, and assisting with fertilizer and chemical applications, including spraying when needed. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Restricted Use Pesticide License. A minimum of one year of golf course maintenance experience is preferred. This position plays a key role in maintaining both the resort’s landscape areas and golf course to the high standards expected across the property.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Strong background in golf course and landscape maintenance
Knowledge of turfgrass management and horticulture practices
Experience with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and water management
Ability to supervise and lead daily crew operations
Experience scheduling and coordinating maintenance tasks
Knowledge of fertilizer applications and chemical spraying practices
Familiarity with pesticide safety and regulations; Restricted Use Pesticide License preferred or ability to obtain
Minimum one year of golf course maintenance experience preferred
Committed to maintaining high‑quality playing conditions and outdoor spaces
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds
