#WeAreParamount on a mission to unleash the power of content… you in?
We’ve got the brands, we’ve got the stars, we’ve got the power to achieve our mission to entertain the planet – now all we’re missing is… YOU! Becoming a part of Paramount means joining a team of passionate people who not only recognize the power of content but also enjoy a touch of fun and uniqueness. Together, we co‑create moments that matter – both for our audiences and our employees – and aim to leave a positive mark on culture.
Responsibilities
Identify viral moments across our video content.
Cut social clips yourself or work with our team of editors to coordinate selects.
Package videos for maximum reach across social media channels, recognizing the subtle differences between platforms and optimizing accordingly.
Write well‑developed, scroll‑stopping captions and headlines (especially for X, YouTube).
Create or oversee YouTube thumbnails (design sense matters here).
Work closely with podcast, video, and editorial teams to optimize content for distribution.
Qualifications
Obsessed with what makes content go viral.
A news junkie who understands the 24/7 cycle and online political commentary culture—and how to leverage both to drive online conversations.
Strong instincts for hooks, framing, and timing in both horizontal and vertical video (short‑form).
Demonstrated ability to write razor sharp, scroll‑stopping copy.
Comfortable with basic video editing (and/or directing editors clearly).
Has an eye for graphics and packaging.
Deep understanding/demonstrated ability to learn The Free Press’s singular brand, voice, and ethos.
Requirements
Someone who loves The Free Press and is enthusiastic to take its video content to the next level.
At least 2+ years in social video, or a clear track record of making content that goes viral.
Experience with editing tools (Premiere Pro preferred) and basic design (Canva or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator).
Deep understanding of the independent media ecosystem and what kinds of content break through.
Willing to work nights and weekends when the moment calls for it.
A team player—no ego, no “that’s not my job.”
A real go‑getter—someone who hates having their hand held as they produce remarkable content.
Has experience and a hunger to use AI tools, learning from them to improve both tactical and strategic choices for the role.
Benefits
Attractive compensation and comprehensive benefits packages.
Generous paid time off.
An exciting and fulfilling opportunity to be part of one of Paramount’s most dynamic teams.
Opportunities for both on‑site and virtual engagement events.
