Position Specifics Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference member, is seeking a dynamic, innovative creative professional to join its elite football program as Director or Associate Director of Football Creative Content. In this graphic design role, the successful candidate will produce high-caliber designs that elevate the program's brand identity and amplify the profiles of its student‑athletes. The position requires developing, maintaining, and advancing a cohesive brand identity through original, forward-thinking design concepts across a wide range of digital and print materials, including:
Motion graphics and video content
Social media graphics
Posters, signage, and large-scale facility graphics
Recruiting graphics
Website and email graphics
Paid media collateral
Logos and promotional materials
The candidate will manage both broad-distribution creative assets and highly personalized, targeted recruiting graphics. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the creative direction of photo shoots involving current players and prospective recruits, with potential opportunities to contribute photography. Experience in video capture or editing is a plus, though not required.
Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications
Graphic Design Specialist – Advanced Professional:
Degree: Bachelor’s
Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
Certifications: None
Graphic Design Specialist – Intermediate Professional:
Degree: Associate
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
Certifications: None
Background Checks / Clearances Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
Salary & Benefits The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 – $81,500.00.
