Position Title:

Strategic Analyst

Location:

Lebanon, NH (remote eligible)

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Work arrangement: fully remote, hybrid, or on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify, evaluate, and monitor prospects, volunteers, and board members, using business publications, online services, and internal data to assess gift capacity and rate prospects.

Prepare concise written reports, prospect profiles, briefings, summaries, rankings, and detailed biographical information tailored for institutional leadership.

Research and analyze financial information, including stock holdings, salaries, future earnings, proxy analysis, and competitive business intelligence.

Collaborate with frontline fundraisers to create, build, and manage prospect portfolios, providing a metric-driven approach to meet fundraising goals.

Assist development officers in revising solicitation plans and advising on interdisciplinary campus relationships that influence cultivation and solicitation strategies.

Serve as liaison to professional schools and campus partners, collaborating with alumni volunteers during reunion planning to generate prospect pools and assess ratings.

Showcase professionalism and collegiality in interactions and communications; perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Three or more years of experience in development or a similar industry.

Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, databases, and internet searches.

Excellent research, problem solving, and analytical skills; ability to analyze and interpret business and financial data.

High level of initiative and ability to organize work, meet deadlines, coordinate projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong writing skills with the ability to compose concise, focused research documents.

Strong customer service, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; ability to motivate and work effectively with groups and individuals.

Sound judgment, tact, and discretion in handling confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

Formal instruction or knowledge of business, financial analysis, statistical methods, information systems, and research report writing.

Demonstrated experience in prospect research, data analysis, advanced analytical tools, and databases.

Specialized training in research methodology or equivalent.
