
Production Coordinator

As a Production Coordinator you will ensure that planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials flow through various production phases. In this role, you will report to the Sr Manager of Manufacturing and Operations.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Implement planned production schedules via dispatch report. Perform the daily, weekly and monthly status of products, organize schedule, assign team members work to ensure production goals are met.
Review pick lists to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to dispatch start dates.
Assist engineering when necessary, assembling and testing prototype devices. Maintain high quality levels by ensuring that all work processes are performed correctly by all team members and proper operations protocols are being adhered to (VF, safety requirements compliance, etc.).
Primary interface with technical operations and engineering to resolve product quality challenges.
Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies and placing orders to replenish stock.
Responsible for work order maintenance in both Oracle and VF.
Assemble, troubleshoot and operate complex electro-mechanical components and sub-systems as required.
Skills You Bring:
Ability to read and follow work instruction and procedures.
Familiarity with operation of hand tools, crimp tools, torque tools & soldering.
Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tasks and operational concepts.
ERP (Oracle); Visual Factory (VF) and Office knowledge required.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Groups ability and desire to meet high rates of production by motivating employees to optimum performance, ensuring that correct procedures are being utilized, and providing sufficient equipment, supplies, and tools to do this job.
Provides guidance, training, and direction of other nonexempt personnel. Responsible for 6S activities and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Typically requires 6+ years of related experience in a mechanical assembly environment.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level.
Must be able to exchange accurate information.
Operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment.
Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Constantly operates a computer.
Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
