Job Description
This is a remote contract position (approximately 3 months, with a possible extension) for an IT Contracts/Procurement Specialist with a public sector industry client located in Austin, TX.
Key Activities/Responsibilities:
Provide high-level assistance and guidance to staff regarding IT procurement processes, budgets and the utilization of the client's contracts.
Coordinate, organize and analyze IT requirements from internal stakeholders; maintain comprehensive files and records to support internal and external audits.
Work with a wide range of stakeholders across the agency to assist and advise on procurements, grants, contracts, and develop and track the associated budgets and make financial projections.
Demonstrate the ability to gather operational data necessary to track project status.
Review time sheets and invoices against approved work orders and contract rates to prevent over-billing.
Responsible for maintaining a central, audit‑able repository for all contracts, solicitations, and approved work orders, and submitted time sheets.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of knowledge of Texas state governmental regulations, laws and practices.
Minimum 8 years of knowledge of Texas procurement & contract management regulations, laws and practices.
Minimum 8 years of knowledge of Texas state budget regulations, laws and practices including capital budgets.
Minimum 8 years of experience with procurement & contract budgeting and forecasting.
Minimum 8 years of experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Minimum 8 years of demonstrated ability for attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high‑quality work.
Minimum 8 years of demonstrated ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and omissions before final delivery.
Minimum 8 years of experience in maintaining a high level of accuracy when handling data, documentation, or reporting.
Minimum 8 years of experience following established procedures while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Information Technology Staff Augmentation Contracts (ITSAC).
Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) credentials.
Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) credentials.
Experience with Department of Information Resources (DIR) Contracts.
Experience with DIR Data Center Services (DCS) contracts.
