
Loan Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Documentation Specialist to support a high-volume lending pipeline within a banking environment. This role is responsible for end-to-end loan documentation, closing coordination, and post-closing activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
Responsibilities
Manage active loan pipeline, performing due diligence and processing approved loan requests
Coordinate all aspects of loan closings, including funds flow, booking, and documentation execution
Prepare and review loan documentation for new and renewed deals, ensuring compliance with internal standards
Partner with Relationship Managers, legal counsel, operations, and co‑lenders to ensure smooth closings
Order and track tax, flood, and collateral documentation; monitor insurance and tax requirements
Conduct UCC searches and filings; manage lien perfection and collateral records
Upload and maintain documentation in centralized systems with proper indexing
Reconcile accounts (e.g., deposits, suspense accounts) and manage exception tracking
Analyze loan terms including fees, covenants, and prepayment conditions
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve documentation gaps and improve processes
Additional Responsibilities
Support loan operations team as needed and assist with process improvements
Coordinate with external parties (title, escrow, counsel) for deal execution
Assist with documentation collection for real estate transactions
Requirements
1‑3 years of experience in loan documentation, loan processing, or lending operations
Strong knowledge of commercial and/or real estate loan documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
