
Commercial Analyst

What role you will play in our team
As an associate within our Upstream team, you will be a key player in the strategy and execution of our business. You will participate in building full-cycle foundational analysis for transactions, including the formulation of financial analysis and preparing internal and external presentations. You will be responsible for reviewing and validating analyses from junior team members, along with working closely with team leadership to deliver requisite materials.
What You Will Do
Defining, guiding and reviewing detailed financial models and valuation analysis for potential transactions
Support deal due diligence processes, including on‑site travel, data analysis, internal and external presentation materials, company and sector research, negotiation, and closing
Manage the transaction execution process and the preparation of transaction‑related documentation, including investment memoranda and presentations
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to gather information and assess risks and opportunities associated with potential transactions
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the deal process
Manage business development initiatives across the existing portfolio
Aggregate and present market research and competitive analysis to senior management
Manage the day‑to‑day activities and work products of junior team members, including building a consistent suite of financial model and presentation templates
Participate in graduate recruiting
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Engineering
1–2 years experience in investment banking or a similar analytical role
Strong analytical and numerical skills and highly proficient in Excel‑based financial modeling (e.g., discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, comparable acquisition analysis)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders
Sense of ownership of work product and the ability to handle several projects simultaneously and prioritize work to meet time‑sensitive deadlines, often working with multiple managers
Self‑motivated and proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence
Familiarity with the energy or infrastructure industry, market trends and competitive landscape
