Overview Kemper is a leading specialized insurer, committed to serving modest‑income families for over 100 years. This role involves frequent personal home visits to conduct sales, collect premiums, and provide service.

For unlicensed agents, a paid training period supports licensing exam preparation. Once licensed, agents receive an existing book of business to collect premiums and generate commissions on new sales.

Pass‑for‑performance compensation allows income potential to grow with performance. Superior performance is recognized through awards, prizes, and company‑sponsored trips.

Responsibilities Agents are given a territory with an established book of business. Daily tasks include:

Conduct sales presentations, recommend products, and close new sales.

Prospect for new sales opportunities.

Maintain customer relationships by collecting premiums on a pre‑arranged schedule.

Respond promptly to service requests (beneficiary changes, claims, loans).

Record keeping, accounting for money collected, and processing policy paperwork.

Agent Expectations

Grow the assigned territory through new sales.

Build strong working relationships with customers.

Devote the necessary time to fulfill responsibilities.

Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

Customer service experience.

Minimum 18 years of age.

Valid driver's license with required auto insurance coverage.

Dependable vehicle for daily travel.

Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening.

Authorization to work in the United States.

Preparation

Licensing: free study tools and professional guidance for licensing exams.

Training: onboarding development program including self‑study, classroom instruction, and field mentoring by Sales Manager.

On‑the‑Job Training: earn a paycheck while learning through hands‑on experience.
