Job Description
Assist in overseeing construction projects from start to finish, focusing on the renovation of CPS projects. Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Monitor project progress, report deviations from the plan, and help manage project schedules and deadlines. Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment, conduct on-site inspections and quality checks, communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients, contribute to problem-solving and conflict resolution on-site, and maintain project documentation and records.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Monitor project progress and report deviations from the plan.

Help manage project schedules and deadlines.

Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment.

Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks.

Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients.

Contribute to problem‑solving and conflict resolution on-site.

Maintain project documentation and records.

Essential Skills

Proven experience in construction management.

Knowledge of construction procedures and material management.

Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore.

Strong skills in construction supervision and subcontractor management.

Understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety.

Ability to manage project schedules and deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong interest in the construction industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work both in a team and independently.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Basic proficiency in construction management software is a plus.

Work Environment
This project focuses on CPS renovations in Chicago, lasting from May to October with potential for long‑term opportunities. The role involves working on government/military‑based projects, providing stability against economic volatility. The work environment is dynamic and requires adaptability, with a focus on maintaining growth despite challenges. The project is expected to last six months, with the opportunity to stay on long‑term.

Job Type & Location
Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $48.07 - $57.69/hr.
