Job Title: Construction Superintendent

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day on‑site construction operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role manages field activities, coordinates subcontractors and trades, and serves as the primary on‑site point of contact. The Superintendent works closely with project managers, clients, inspectors and design teams to support successful execution from project start through closeout. Responsibilities

Act as the primary on‑site representative for assigned construction projects Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily construction activities, field operations, and site logistics Manage subcontractor sequencing, manpower, and productivity across all trades Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional jobsite Enforce all company, site‑specific, and OSHA safety policies and procedures Conduct daily safety walks, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings Identify and address safety hazards or unsafe behaviors proactively Maintain required safety documentation, logs, and incident reports Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop, update, and maintain project schedules Monitor daily progress and identify potential schedule or cost impacts Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, building codes, and quality standards Perform regular inspections of work in place and oversee quality control and punch‑list activities Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and daily planning sessions Communicate with owners, inspectors, and design professionals to support inspections, approvals, and milestones Assist with RFIs, submittals, and constructability reviews as needed Support commissioning, inspections, project closeout, and turnover activities Complete accurate daily reports including manpower tracking and photo documentation Coordinate material deliveries, site inventory, and logistics to prevent delays Maintain organized project documentation through project closeout Utilize construction management software and field technology tools for scheduling, reporting, and documentation Essential Skills

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent or similar field leadership role Experience managing commercial or large‑scale construction projects Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Solid understanding of construction sequencing, means, and methods Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage multi‑trade environments Knowledge of jobsite safety standards and OSHA requirements Experience with construction schedules and progress tracking Proficiency using construction management or field reporting software Additional Skills and Qualifications

Experience with field management platforms such as Procore or equivalent systems Familiarity with digital drawing review and markup tools such as Bluebeam Experience using scheduling software such as MS Project or similar Strong communication skills for interacting with project teams, subcontractors, and inspectors Ability to maintain detailed reports, documentation, and safety records Organized, detail‑oriented approach to site operations and logistics Leadership style that emphasizes safety, accountability, teamwork, and quality Work Environment

This is a field‑based position requiring regular on‑site presence. The Superintendent typically works on one primary project site and may occasionally support additional nearby sites as needed. The work environment includes active construction sites with varying conditions and demands. The role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders and consistent use of field technology to support scheduling, documentation, and reporting. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
