Akkodis is seeking a Functional Consultant for a Contract with a client in Raritan, NJ. The ideal candidate delivers scalable, high‑performance applications on SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP using modern RESTful design principles.
Rate Range:
$37/hour to $56/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Functional Consultant Job Responsibilities
Design and develop applications using the SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) in both managed and unmanaged scenarios.
Create, enhance, and maintain CDS views with appropriate annotations to support business and UI requirements.
Build and expose OData services (V2/V4) for seamless integration with SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.
Implement robust backend logic using OOABAP, AMDP, and RESTful APIs on SAP HANA.
Collaborate closely with functional consultants and frontend teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
Perform unit testing, peer code reviews, and performance optimization to ensure high‑quality, scalable SAP solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
Mandatory hands‑on expertise with SAP ABAP RAP, including managed/unmanaged scenarios, CDS views, and OData services.
Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP, with proven ability to collaborate across functional and Fiori/UI5 teams while optimizing performance on SAP HANA.
Pay Details $37.00 to $56.00 per hour.
