A Brief Overview The Resident Services Specialist is responsible for providing assistance and coordinating all requests from residents with the property management team. The role oversees community appearance, supports marketing, and delivers exceptional customer service, maintaining resident files, retention programs, service requests, and ensuring compliance with company and government policies.

What you will do

Serves as the primary point of contact for all resident-related inquiries.

Coordinates requests with the property management team by entering work orders into YARDI.

Answers resident questions and resolves concerns, providing the highest level of customer service and following up to ensure resolution.

Inspects model and vacant homes to ensure readiness for prospective client tours.

Administers move-in lease documents and home inspection with residents.

Coordinates move-outs, pre‑inspection, and final inspection for outgoing residents, assessing damages and delivering final utility bills where applicable.

Monitors rental account balances and ensures all fees and rent charges are correct in Yardi.

Maintains community curb appeal and the appearance of the office, amenities, model homes, and the community.

Conducts follow‑up phone calls to residents to confirm work order completion within acceptable time frames.

Performs other duties as needed to assist the Community Director, Community Manager, and leasing team.

Participates in monthly site functions to assist in resident retention.

Drives for the company using a company vehicle or personal/rental vehicle for more than 50% of work duties.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or a related discipline preferred.

Experience with computers and typical office software (email, Word, Excel, browsing).

Previous sales experience preferred.

Strong customer service skills.

Ability to show houses in all weather conditions.

Demonstrated discretion with confidential information.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with all levels.

Ability to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

High level of professionalism and strong work ethic.

Ability to resolve problems independently and responsibly.

Reliable, self‑motivated team player with strong attention to detail, communication, and business literacy skills.

Discretion in maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

Capacity to envision, develop, and implement new strategies for complex business issues.

Initiative to anticipate client needs and make recommendations.

Valid driver’s license and in‑state status required.

Compensation The hiring range for this position is generally between $23.60 – $28.21 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The position is eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries are based on factors such as location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and experience.
